An organic cafe with vegan and raw food menu, and a tonic bar with a huge selection of healthy drinks and Chinese tea.
Pros:
- A nice and cozy place in one of Ubud's central alleyways
- Strictly vegan and raw food menu; raw desserts. There are several “warm” raw food dishes on the menu. Purchases seasonal organic produce from local farmers. Only “live” water is used in the kitchen and cafe; a dispenser with free drinking water is in the lounge. All options are listed on the menu: gluten-free, nut-free, etc. Special dish of the day at 55k, dishes change daily.
- A unique tonic bar with the largest selection of healthy drinks in Ubud. Magic elixirs are created based on Chinese, Ayurvedic and Indonesian healing systems. A chic selection of Chinese tea at 50k per teapot. Tea ceremonies. If you get a special tea card and do not forget to put stamps, you will be happy in the form of free tea.
- You can buy some homemade products, such as coconut yogurt, which is made from coconut “meat” and sourdough, as well as a large selection of healthy drinks: ashitaba tea, mushroom kvass, etc. Dig in the fridge, there is a lot of interesting stuff there) If you return 5 empty bottles you will get a free bottle of tonic tea.
- every morning (except Saturdays and special lunar days) you can do ashtanga yoga, there is a comfortable room adapted for yoga on the second floor; for exact schedule and cost please check the website or in the cafe.
- the chef of the cafe conducts professional training in raw food cuisine, the program is very serious, for 2 weeks you will open the world of raw food, learn a lot of new and useful things, learn to cook in compliance with all the principles of raw food. Conditions on the site or in the cafe.
- There is delivery, minimum order 150k
Cons:
- not the cleanest place, in some places already shabby and old, could use a fresh upgrade.
- you can park your bike, but you're lucky, the street is narrow and usually all the spaces are taken, it's better to find another place for parking.
What to try?
1. Papaya crepes with Nutella for breakfast - Papaya crepes with Nutella with hazelnut and chocolate cherry sauce.
Raw corn and spinach scramble stuffed with pickled mushrooms, eggplant “bacon” and juicy vegan breads
2. Live Pastas - zucchini noodles with a choice of Italian Carbonara or Thai Pad Thai.
3. Specialties: KimCheese - KimCheese Tart (Tuesdays) and Greek Moussaka (Fridays)
4. Desserts are all on the counter, I recommend: Banana caramel cream pie magic cake with a whole banana inside; truffles with fragrant lavender or fragrant rose
