Bali is divided into nine districts, each rich in unique cultural heritage and natural beauty. The district of Buleleng, located in the northwest of the island, is an excellent choice for those seeking a getaway away from popular tourist routes.

Here you will find Lovina Beach, famous for its morning boat tours to observe dolphins, as well as the village of Pemuteran, known for the best snorkeling among coral reefs. Buleleng is also renowned for its jungle waterfalls (Aling-Aling, Gitgit, Sekumpul, and others) and mountain lakes (Bratan, Buyan, and Tamblingan, forming the "mountain trio").
The district is actively developing tourism: new routes are appearing, infrastructure has been improved, and there is an entrance fee at major tourist locations. The Buleleng Tourism Department (Dispar) plans to implement entrance fees for 21 new attractions, which will increase the total number of paid sites to 46. This is done to increase tourism revenue and direct funds to regional development, improving safety, landscaping, and maintaining cleanliness.

According to the Buleleng Tourism Department, 75% of ticket sales proceeds go to local villages to improve conditions for tourists. The remaining 25% will go to the regional budget.
The district's goal is to attract thousands of new tourists in 2025 and increase revenue from the tourism tax to 7.5 billion rupees, compared to 5 billion in 2024. The entrance fee to tourist locations will not exceed 40,000 rupees, and tickets can be paid for with a bank card: 20 terminals have already been installed, and their number will increase.
The head of the Buleleng Tourism Department, Gede Askara, emphasizes that the new payment system will ensure transparency. All tourists, whether traveling independently or with a tour group, will pay the same price. E-tickets will make the purchase process convenient and accessible in advance.
