Authorities in the Badung district of Bali are revising fees for visiting popular tourist sites. Ticket and parking prices at temples, waterfalls, and beaches will rise soon. This is being done to boost the district's budget and finance infrastructure projects.

The updates became part of a new regional regulation, which has already been approved by the local People's Representative Council (DPRD) and a special committee. The increase affects both local and foreign tourists.
The changes were proposed by site managers and agreed upon with the local tourism department.
Entrance fees will increase at the following sites:
- Temple Taman Ayun:
• Foreign adults — 50,000 rupiahs
• Foreign children — 25,000 - Temple Uluwatu (excluding evening kecak dance):
• Foreign adults — 60,000 rupiahs
• Foreign children — 40,000 - Beach Pandawa:
• Foreign adults — 25,000 rupiahs
• Foreign children — 15,000 - Waterfall Nung Nung — also on the list for an increase, exact rates are being determined.
Standard parking rates are also being introduced:
• 1,000–2,000 rupiahs for motorcycles
• 2,000–4,000 rupiahs for cars
• 5,000–10,000 rupiahs for buses and large vehicles.
Parking is paid in cash.

This is not an isolated decision. There has been a consistent trend of rising prices for popular tourist attractions across the island recently, especially for foreign guests.
The price increase is mainly justified by the need to fund infrastructure projects. Many areas of Bali are actively developing and require new sources of income, especially after the pandemic.
According to representatives of the Badung district administration, even a small increase in regional income (PAD) will help to develop roads, utility systems, and tourist infrastructure. Some funds will also come from rental fees for district land and assets.
