It looks like there will soon be another reason to visit Discovery Mall in Bali. A One-Stop Immigration Service Centre is set to open on the ground floor of the shopping centre in Kuta. Visitors will be able to deal with some matters related to visas and staying in Bali without making a separate trip to an immigration office.

Bali authorities have described the future Immigration Lounge as a strategic initiative. The ground floor of Discovery Mall, one of Kuta’s most visited shopping centres, has been chosen as the location.
It is already known that the new centre will serve foreign nationals. Visitors will be able to extend their stay permits and receive advice on immigration matters. Services for applying for and replacing Indonesian passports are also planned.
According to the authorities, one of the main goals of the project is to move some services closer to areas with the highest concentration of tourists, making administrative procedures more flexible and convenient.
However, the idea of “immigration in a shopping centre” is not new for Bali. The Denpasar Immigration Office has opened a temporary service point on the third floor of Plaza Renon. It accepts applications for Indonesian passports and passport replacements, while foreign nationals can also extend their stay permits there.
New immigration offices have also recently opened in Tabanan and Klungkung. The office in Tabanan is located next to the regency administration building, while the Klungkung branch also serves residents and visitors of Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. Both offices provide services related to passports, stay permits and other matters for Indonesians and foreign nationals.
The authorities have not yet announced the exact opening date or the final list of services at Discovery Mall. But it is already clear that handling documents on the island is gradually becoming part of everyday life, rather than a separate bureaucratic challenge.
And if you want even less bureaucracy, we recommend contacting Legal Indonesia for visa applications and extensions. They will prepare all the documents themselves, so all you need to do is come to the office to provide your biometrics.
