Shopping in Bali has made a huge leap in the last couple of years: the island has finally stopped being a place where you had to fly to Singapore for brands. Today, Bali’s malls are not just rows of shops, but huge lifestyle centres with powerful air conditioning, futuristic architecture and plenty of entertainment.
You can find everything here: from high-street brands like H&M, Zara and Uniqlo to professional electronics, homeware and huge kids’ play parks.
In this guide, we’ll cover where to go for the best shopping, where to find entertainment for the whole family, and which malls offer the best conditions for a comfortable day out with children.
Sanur
Icon Bali Mall
Opening hours: 10:00–22:00

Icon mall
Icon Bali Mall is currently considered the most stylish and modern mall.
It opened in 2024 and has become Sanur’s new landmark. The building is literally integrated into the beachfront landscape, combining shopping with a cultural experience.
Inside, they’ve recreated the island’s first floating market, where you can buy local food — the Indoor Floating Market. There’s also a garden with vertical greenery and multimedia installations.
For children, there are modern play areas and an interactive “museum of light”. And you can step straight out of the mall onto Sanur’s landscaped beach promenade, which is easy to navigate with a pushchair.
Shopping:
- Clothes and shoes: a large Uniqlo with the latest collections (including limited collaborations that reach Kuta later), Adidas, Vans, and plenty of boutiques selling high-quality Balinese cotton. You’ll also find Adidas, Skechers and Birkenstock.
- Homeware and little extras: Flying Tiger Copenhagen — a Danish brand where you can buy stylish stationery, home décor, unusual toys and party accessories.
- Beauty and skincare: a large Sensatia Botanicals section (Balinese premium brand) and multi-brand shops with Korean cosmetics.
- Local premium brands: lots of boutiques with high-quality linen and silk clothing, for example Bamboo Blonde (with a wider range than elsewhere).
- Food: make sure you visit the Indoor Floating Market zone — you can buy authentic Balinese sweets, spices and artisanal products straight from the boats.
Icon Bali Mall’s dining area deserves a special mention, as it brings together branches of some of the island’s best venues. Thanks to the mall’s beachfront location, many cafés have panoramic ocean views and open terraces where you can enjoy the sea breeze. This makes Icon Bali Mall a great choice not only for a quick bite between shops, but also for a proper family dinner or a relaxed brunch.
- L’Osteria Pizza e Cucina Icon Bali Sanur
The restaurant is open daily from 10:00 to 23:00, which is very handy for a late dinner after shopping.
Right on the Sanur seafront, it offers a real Italian atmosphere with authentic cuisine. The restaurant is on the Beach Floor, with direct access to fresh sea air. It specialises in Neapolitan pizza with a crisp crust and homemade pasta. Guests value the stylish interior and the high quality of the ingredients.
- Fold Sanur
The bakery is open to guests from 10:00 to 22:00.
A new addition to the mall: a next-generation patisserie and bakery that quickly became a favourite among fans of quality baked goods. It’s located on the Upper Ground (UG) level.
It’s known for perfectly flaky croissants, handmade desserts and excellent coffee. The interior is modern and minimalist, ideal both for working on a laptop and for a short break in a pleasant setting.
- The RR Chocolate - ICON Bali
The boutique is open daily until 22:00.
A real paradise for cocoa lovers, combining a boutique with a cosy café. It’s set in a convenient part of the mall and draws attention with its luxurious display. You’ll find exquisite handmade chocolates, bars with unusual flavours, and signature thick hot chocolate drinks. It’s the perfect place to pick up a beautiful gift or simply enjoy dessert in a calm atmosphere.
- Daily Baguette ICON BALI
Opening hours: 09:30–21:30.
It offers a classic French approach to breakfast and snacks throughout the day. The café is well located on the Beach Front level, so you can pair your morning coffee with an ocean view. The menu always includes freshly baked baguettes, a variety of sandwiches, quiches and traditional French pastries. It’s especially popular for early brunches and family meet-ups thanks to its relaxed atmosphere and fresh products.

The mall is home to a super-modern Cinema XXI. It features the latest seating and state-of-the-art sound systems. The stylish screens fit perfectly into the mall’s overall concept. There are IMAX halls with a huge screen and impressive sound, as well as Premiere halls where seats recline into full sofas and waiters bring food right to you during the film.
Visitors write: “It’s not just a mall, it’s a work of art. Very comfortable with kids: spacious toilets with mother-and-baby rooms, wide lifts and a cool temperature.”
Denpasar
Trans Studio Mall Bali
Opening hours: 10:00–22:00
Trans Studio Mall is probably the most lively and “high-energy” shopping centre in Bali — the best place if you need to keep the kids busy indoors.
It’s a full-scale indoor theme park with powerful air conditioning. You can ride a rollercoaster that runs right under the mall’s ceiling, try karting on a professional track, or experience free fall in the iFly wind tunnel. For younger children there’s a huge KidCity play zone with carousels and mini rides, plus the multimedia show “Fly Over Indonesia” — a virtual flight over Indonesia’s main sights.
When it comes to shopping, Trans Mall is known for its giant anchor stores.
The most popular is OH!SOME, impossible to miss thanks to its bright yellow design. It’s a real paradise for fans of cosmetics, stationery and building sets; you can find everything from hundreds of types of Korean sheet masks to a huge “noodle wall” from all over the world.
For serious shopping there’s the Transmart hypermarket, which sells everything from nappies and groceries to TVs and furniture. The mall also has large sections of international brands such as H&M and Uniqlo, plus a huge multi-brand footwear and sports store, Sports Station.
The food court and restaurants are also geared towards family visits. On the ground floor and in the food court area you’ll find popular Asian chains like Ichiban Sushi, Gokana and the very popular ramen spot Ramenya! If you prefer familiar fast food or coffee, there’s Starbucks, Burger King and Baskin-Robbins.
If you’re planning to visit the rides, it’s best to come at opening time (around 10:00–11:00) to avoid queues that build up by midday.
Cinema XXI at Trans Mall is considered one of the most in-demand. It has large screens and always shows all major global blockbusters. Premiere screenings with audience activities often take place here.

Living World Denpasar
Opening hours: 10:00–22:00
Living World is the largest mall in Denpasar, between Ubud and Sanur. There are far fewer tourists and more space, but at weekends there are lots of locals, and the car park can be extremely crowded (it’s best to come in the morning).
Inside, there’s an abundance of live plants and small islands of local Balinese brands.
- Home and interiors: this is where you’ll find Bali’s largest Azko and Informa stores. If you’re setting up a villa, you can get everything here: from designer sofas and kitchen units to professional grills and smart home systems.
- High-street brands: a two-level Uniqlo (the most spacious on the island), always stocked with Airism and Heattech collections. A huge H&M and multi-brand shoe stores. A massive Sports Station section and specialist running and yoga boutiques. The best selection of the latest trainers.
- Electronics: Electronic City store — the widest selection of large home appliances, coffee machines and speaker systems. There’s also an official iBox (Apple).
Cafés and restaurants:
The dining area is split into a modern food court and standalone restaurants. It’s worth stopping by The People’s Cafe (a mix of Indonesian and Western cuisine) or trying the legendary dim sum at Imperial Kitchen & Dimsum.
There are plenty of third-wave (speciality) coffee shops, such as Anomali Coffee, where they roast the beans right in front of you. Outside, along the river, there’s an Amphitheater area where you can grab a bite with sunset views and live performances.
Cinema XXI at Living World is one of the most high-tech on the island. There are IMAX halls with a huge screen and incredible sound, as well as Premiere halls where seats recline into full sofas and waiters bring food right to you during the film.

Living World
The mall also has a riverside promenade, a top-tier Kidzlandia playground with multi-level mazes and ball pits. Outside there’s a large stage where free children’s festivals and various performances often take place.
Kuta
Beachwalk Shopping Center
Opening hours: 10:00–22:00

Beachwalk shopping centre on the beach
The only mall in Kuta that has kept its status as a premium shopping spot by the ocean. It’s the only shopping centre that has almost all major brands and high-street stores in one place. Ideal for shopping.
Luxury and premium accessories
Beachwalk is the island’s key location for lovers of branded bags and shoes. You’ll often find “Island Exclusives” collections, released in limited quantities specifically for boutiques in Bali.
- Coach, Kate Spade, Michael Kors: these three boutiques form a “golden triangle” of accessories on the ground floor. You’ll find the latest collections of bags, wallets and jewellery.
- Hugo Boss: premium men’s and women’s clothing for those looking for a sharp yet modern style even in the tropics.
- Tumi: if you need reliable, premium luggage for travel, this is the best boutique on the island.
Below are stores that were born in Bali or Indonesia and have become symbols of local style.
- Bamboo Blonde: probably the most famous Balinese women’s fashion brand. You’ll always find light dresses, jumpsuits and tops with bright prints, perfect for beach photo shoots.
- Cap Bali: a boutique specialising in modern clothing with elements of traditional Indonesian techniques. A great place to buy a quality piece with “the spirit of Bali”.
- Magali Pascal: French chic made in Bali. Very refined, feminine clothing in silk and lace.
- Saranghaeyo: a concept store focused on Korean fashion and accessories. Popular with young people for unusual cuts and cute details.
Beauty:
- Sensatia Botanicals: a world-class Balinese natural cosmetics brand. Make sure to try their serums and sun protection products — they’re adapted to the local climate.
- Candylicious: not just a sweet shop, but a huge art installation. It sells exclusive gift sets, merchandise and massive chocolate bars that make great presents.
- Scoop & Warna: a gifts and floristry shop where you can find very unusual cards, notebooks and décor items made by local designers.
- Plus Sephora, Victoria’s Secret, Coach, Kate Spade and Michael Kors.
Also:
- Casio Island Store (G-SHOCK Special Exhibition): in April 2026, the store was refurbished and launched an exclusive collaboration with designer NIGO.
- Wilio: a unique boutique for children’s shoes and accessories, featuring top Nike, Jordan and Adidas models in kids’ sizes — a paradise for little sneakerheads.
- Stroberi: a shop of affordable but very bright accessories and costume jewellery, where you can find everything from hair clips to temporary tattoos.
Brands and high-street shopping:
- Only here in Bali can you find all these stores together: Zara, Pull&Bear, Bershka, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti and Birkenstock.
Cafés and restaurants:
A must-visit is the Japanese coffee shop % Arabica on the ground floor overlooking the beach. On the third floor, there’s the Eat and Eat food court with authentic cuisine from across Indonesia’s islands. For dinner with a sunset view, choose the terrace at Sardinia restaurant.
Beachwalk Cinema XXI has Premiere halls with table service from the menu during the film.
Mal Bali Galeria
Opening hours: 10:00–22:00
One of the island’s most established and well-respected shopping centres, built as a ring with an open green courtyard in the middle.
- Matahari department store: a huge three-level section taking up a good third of the mall. It offers the best selection of budget cosmetics, decent inexpensive underwear, shoes and clothing from local Indonesian brands. Ideal for those looking for basics at low prices.
- Brands: the largest H&M in Bali (often with a wider range than other malls), plus Uniqlo, Giordano, Levi’s and Lacoste. For shoe lovers, there are large Charles & Keith and Wakai sections.
- Tech: an official iBox (Apple Premium Partner) with a full service centre. There are also dedicated Samsung and JBL sections, and a huge Best Denki electronics store.
- Hobbies and home: the only Gramedia store in this area — a massive selection of English books, stationery and art supplies. There’s also a large Azko (home goods).
- Duty Free (DFS): in a separate wing there’s a duty-free store with luxury brands such as Gucci, Burberry, Prada and Estée Lauder. Important: purchases can only be collected at the airport when departing.
At the centre of the mall there’s a huge open tropical courtyard with lawns and footbridges.
There’s lots of natural light and fresh air, which feels much easier than fully enclosed, windowless buildings.
Mal Bali Galeria is home to the island’s only ice rink — the Bali Ice Skating Arena. For kids living in endless summer, it’s a major attraction.
You can rent skates, get a “penguin helper” for those who struggle on the ice, and even book lessons with a coach.
While your child skates, parents can watch through panoramic glass while staying cool. Sessions are usually 1.5–2 hours.
There’s also a high concentration of children’s shops (a huge kids’ clothing and footwear section at very reasonable prices; promotions like “buy 1, get 2” are common).
Cafés and restaurants:
There are lots of Japanese restaurants in this area, always with a huge choice of rolls and fresh fish.
J.CO Donuts & Coffee is a must-stop for donut and coffee lovers.
Of course, there’s also a cinema — Galeria XXI with quality sound. People like it because you can almost always buy tickets for big premieres right before the screening: there are many halls, and the tourist flow is more evenly spread than in Kuta.

Mal Bali Galeria

Discovery Mall
Bukit
Sidewalk Jimbaran
Opening hours: 10:00–22:00
A real “lifesaver” for residents of Bukit, Uluwatu and Jimbaran. The mall is small compared to Denpasar’s giants, but very functional, clean and modern. There are no crowds, it’s always cool, and it feels very cosy.
- Clothes and accessories: several boutiques with good beachwear.
- Gifts and household goods: a solid electronics section and small shops with quality souvenirs and handmade organic cosmetics.
Cafés and restaurants:
There are plenty of venues in the mall: Wanaku Chinese Seafood, the Japanese restaurant Sushi Tei Sidewalk Jimbaran, a wide buffet selection in the supermarket, and several cosy cafés on the ground floor where it’s easy to work on a laptop or meet friends.
Cinépolis Sidewalk is very modern, with soft seats and excellent sound. It’s the only cinema on Bukit, so it’s better to book evening screenings in advance — many people go to Beachwalk in Kuta instead.
Bali Collection
Opening hours: 10:00–22:00
A small shopping centre in the heart of the upscale Nusa Dua resort. There’s no rush here — just well-kept paths, fountains and a relaxed atmosphere.
The shopping centre features:
- Luxury textiles and silk: lots of boutiques with high-quality Indonesian clothing, plus batik shops.
- Resort fashion stores — Bamboo Blonde, Deus and Lacoste.
- Unlike the markets, here you can buy quality wood, leather and silver items with a guarantee, as well as souvenirs.
Restaurants are spread across the whole area. It’s worth visiting Tenji Sushi for seafood, or Nusa By/Suka for a cosy dinner. There are plenty of open terraces, with live music in the evenings.
For parents and children:
This is the safest mall for small children. There’s no traffic, the area is enclosed, and kids can run around the paths without worry.
Also nearby, just a short walk from the shopping arcade, is the Pasifika Museum — a great place to show children Asian art and take a quiet stroll in the cool galleries.
