Huge International Outlet Project Coming to Bali

On Serangan Island in Denpasar, Sira Village Grand Outlet Bali—Bali’s first major international-standard outlet—is almost complete. The project is 92% finished and is due to open on 31 July.
The complex is being built in the Kura-Kura Bali special economic zone. This is not a typical shopping mall, but an open-air outlet with brand stores, restaurants, waterfront promenades and architecture inspired by a Balinese village. The full list of stores has not yet been announced. Officially, they mention fashion, sports goods, cosmetics, accessories and lifestyle products.
The project is being developed by PT Bali Turtle Island Development and Japan’s Mitsubishi Estate. The site covers around 4.7 hectares. The complex is planned to have three above-ground floors and one underground level, around 150 shops and nearly 29,000 square metres of leasable space.
Construction began in July 2024. At the time, the opening was promised for the first quarter of 2026, and they spoke about creating up to 1,200 jobs. The timeline has now shifted to mid-year, but the project is already being presented to central government officials as one of the flagship developments in Kura-Kura Bali.
In addition to the outlet, other projects have been announced in Kura-Kura Bali: hotels, an international marina, an international school, a mangrove research centre, and tourism and business facilities. The special economic zone covers around 498 hectares on Serangan.
