The first shopping center is set to be built in Canggu — announced as part of the Canggu Hills project on the Canggu — Pererenan road.
The developer, PT Asia Mas Realty, plans a two-story mall with approximately 200 tenants. The project is marketed as a 'neighborhood' shopping center: the idea is to meet basic needs on-site, reducing reliance on trips through Canggu's perpetual traffic.
The timeline is set for June 2028. The facility is also described as an 'open' format shopping center - a complex with outdoor streets/courtyards.
Canggu Hills itself is described as a mixed-use complex (residential + commercial), actively promoted since 2025. Company representatives have publicly stated that all documentation and zoning are 'all sorted,' but they haven't announced a construction start date. Meanwhile, promotional posts for the project claim that work has already begun.
