Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali continues to gain momentum. In the first quarter of 2025, 5.2 million passengers passed through its terminals — an increase of 0.5% compared to the same period last year.

From January to March, the airport handled 32,669 takeoffs and landings (an average of 363 per day). Out of 5.2 million, 3,295,693 passengers were heading to other countries, while 1,912,649 made domestic flights within Indonesia. A total of 18,489 international flights and 14,180 domestic flights were conducted from January to March 2025.
The CEO of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, Gusti Ngurah Rai Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, stated that the increase in passenger traffic will further motivate staff to provide the best service to travelers. "This growth proves that the island of Bali remains in demand among tourists both domestically and internationally as a leading destination. We guarantee that airport services will always be excellent to support the growth of the tourism sector in Bali," he said.
The first quarter of 2025 saw several holidays: New Year, Chinese New Year holidays, the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, Nyepi. To delight travelers, thematic events were organized at the airport and the premises were decorated in accordance with the theme of the event.
During the first quarter of 2025, four new routes were launched - to Perth and Guangzhou, served by Trans Nusa, to Darwin (Air Asia) and, for the first time, a direct flight by Saudia Airlines to Jeddah was launched. Currently, Bali International Airport serves 62 routes to 20 countries. In addition, 23 domestic destinations are operated by 12 airlines, while 39 international routes are served by 44 airlines.
In the first quarter of 2025, the route to Jakarta (CGK) became the busiest domestic route, serving 940,763 passengers. It was followed by flights to Surabaya with a passenger traffic of 289,143 people and Makassar (105,985 people). Leading among international routes is Bali - Singapore, used by 578,820 passengers. Next were Kuala Lumpur with 378,068 travelers and Melbourne (256,919 people).
In addition to positive achievements in operational performance, Ngurah Rai International Airport also received an award at the Skytrax World Airport Award, held in Spain on April 9, 2025.
