Saudi Arabia’s national airline, Saudia, has officially launched air service between Bali and Jeddah — the “gateway to Mecca” for pilgrims.
Saudia will operate flights from Jeddah to Bali three times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The flights are operated on a Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner, equipped with 24 business class seats and 274 economy class seats. The route is not direct and includes a stopover in Singapore.
In 2024, 14,000 people from Saudi Arabia visited Bali. Since the start of this year alone, 3,000 Saudi tourists have already arrived. The first flight from Jeddah to Bali carried 118 passengers this Monday. The return flight to Jeddah via Singapore departed with 113 passengers on board.
Bali expects to welcome 6.5 million foreign tourists this year. With the addition of this new route, Ngurah Rai International Airport now serves 40 international routes from 20 countries, operated by 43 airlines.
