In Kerobokan, a motorcyclist snatched a gold chain from a Polish national as he was walking to a minimarket with his companion.

The chain weighed about 38 grams and was valued at roughly 80 million rupiah ($4,400).
It happened at around half past two in the morning. The motorcyclist rode past the shop, turned around and pulled up next to the couple. He yanked the chain and sped off. The foreigner ran after him and called on people nearby for help, but he couldn't catch him.
The attack was caught on a security camera. The motorcyclist was wearing a grey jacket, a black helmet and a crossbody bag, and was riding a black Yamaha NMAX. Police are reviewing the footage and working to identify him.
In September, a couple from Malaysia had a chain snatched in the same way in Kerobokan. A suspect was arrested the following day, and police promised to step up night patrols in the area.
