A tragic accident occurred on Sunset Road in Bali. A Russian citizen with the initials A.S. (37) hit an Indonesian man from Jembrana with the initials I.P., aged 24. The motorcyclist died.
The local resident was riding a custom chopper without license plates at 2:30 AM local time. Behind him, moving in the same direction, was a BMW car with the license plate B 1 ULE, driven by A.S.
As a result, in front of Marmer Indah, the BMW driver crashed into the motorcycle from behind. The characteristic damage is visible in photos from the scene. The impact appears to have been very strong — the left front side of the car is completely gone.
The collision caused I.P. to suffer severe injuries and he died at the scene. It is not yet known whether he was wearing any protective motorcycle gear or a helmet.
In a video circulating online, police can be heard questioning the driver and discussing the smell of alcohol coming from him. During an inspection of the Russian tourist’s car, a bottle of alcoholic beverage was found.
