Bali is experiencing a tourism boom. According to the Bali Statistics Bureau (BPS), July 2025 set a new record for international visits this year — 697,107 tourists.

This is 9.29% more than in June (637,868) and 11.42% more compared to July last year (625,665). Growth has been recorded for the third consecutive month: in May 602,213 international arrivals were registered.
According to Ari Kurnianto, head of public relations at BPS Bali, the number of arrivals via the airport increased by 9.3% compared to June. Sea arrivals have slightly decreased.
The increase in tourist activity is explained by seasonal factors — including winter school holidays in Australia, as well as the heat in Europe, which likely influenced the choice of holiday destinations.
Australia once again led in the number of tourists in July — 161,051 people. This was followed by China (59,651), India (45,288), France (38,460), and South Korea (38,275). Growth from France is particularly notable: an increase of 60.7% compared to June.
By region, the most visits were recorded from Europe (206,280), followed by Asia (197,528), and Oceania (179,171). Less than 100,000 people arrived from ASEAN countries, North and South America, the Middle East, and Africa.
In total, from January to July 2025, Bali welcomed 3.98 million foreign tourists — 12.46% more than the same period last year. This confirms the steady increase in interest in the island and its position as one of the leading tourist destinations in the region.
