Ngurah Rai International Airport expects a record summer flux. From June 23 to July 14, over 1.6 million passengers will pass through its terminals on 9,884 flights. The busiest day will be July 6.

This day falls in the middle of the Indonesian school holidays (June 23 – July 14) and coincides with the first weekend of the winter holidays in Australia, starting between July 5 and 7, which adds Australian arrivals to the domestic demand. Consequently, the airport forecasts a record 78,000 passengers and 460 flights for this Sunday.
According to the airport's CEO, Wahyudi, more than 70,000 passengers are currently being served daily, compared to the usual 61,000. The large number of local travelers is due to discounts on air and train tickets during the school holidays, as well as reduced toll road fees.
To manage the load, an MOT system has been implemented, which forecasts passenger flow days in advance and helps allocate resources. Special attention is paid to all service points—from check-in and security to boarding and baggage claim—as well as transportation movement around the terminal.
