With a score of 96.86 points, Bali outperformed strong competitors like the Maldives, Boracay, and Phuket. This victory reflects not only high reader ratings but also confirms the island’s consistent growth in popularity among tourists from around the world.
According to Ngurah Rai International Airport, from January to September 2025, Bali welcomed 18,231,771 passengers — 1% more than the same period last year (just under 18 million). The increase in the number of foreign visitors is particularly notable: in 2024, the island was visited by 4,887,166 people, and by 2025, the number had risen to 5,460,288.
Bali continues to attract not only with its beaches but also with its rich culture, traditional villages, volcanoes, picturesque rice terraces, and developed tourist infrastructure. It offers both bustling resorts and secluded spots for a peaceful retreat.

Notably, this year Lombok took second place with a score of 94.86, making an impressive leap from 2024, when it was only in tenth position.
The head of the West Nusa Tenggara Province Tourism Office, Ahmad Nur Aulia, noted: "It's important not only to maintain our achievements but also to keep developing. Tourists are seeking not just beautiful views, but authentic experiences, atmosphere, and human warmth."
He stated that Lombok's success was made possible through the joint efforts of the local community, the tourism industry, and the authorities. The island now hopes to leverage this recognition as an impetus for attracting investment and further industry development.
