The island of Bali has once again become the focus of global attention. According to a study by the British travel agency Travelbag, Bali ranked first in the list of the most beautiful islands in the world in 2025. The evaluation was based on the number of hashtags on Instagram - over 75 million mentions, far exceeding the figures for other popular destinations.

The study considered the 45 most popular islands on the planet. Travelbag analysts assessed the visual appeal of locations by the frequency of photo and video postings on social media. The list was topped by islands in Southeast Asia and the Caribbean, thanks to tropical landscapes, crystal clear beaches, and rich marine fauna.
According to authorities, more than 6.3 million foreign tourists visited Bali in 2024. Most of them actively shared their experiences on social media, filling feeds with images of sunsets, temples, beaches, and jungles. This laid the foundation for Bali's triumph in the Travelbag ranking.
Why Bali? If you've been here, no explanation is needed. If you're planning on visiting, prepare to fall in love. Spiritual Ubud, trendy Seminyak, the sacred cliff of Uluwatu, the holy springs of Tirta Empul - each corner of the island reveals its magic.

Bali captivates with not just its landscapes but also its atmosphere. White sandy beaches, rice terraces, volcanoes reaching for the sky - all form its distinctive identity. However, the true wealth of Bali lies in its culture, traditions, and friendly people, making the journey truly special.
Top 5 most beautiful islands in the world according to Travelbag in 2025:
- Bali, Indonesia - over 75 million hashtags
- Sri Lanka - around 18 million
- Cuba - over 15.3 million
- Jamaica - over 15.3 million
- Phuket, Thailand - over 12.7 million
This study clearly illustrates how visual content influences the perception of tourist destinations. Each photo becomes an invitation to travel, and behind the beautiful images lie vivid experiences, emotions, and stories.
If you want to see Bali from its most photogenic angles, be sure to include in your itinerary the rice terraces of Tegallalang or Jatiluwih, the waterfalls of Sekumpul or Kanto-Lampo, and also the beaches of Nusa Penida - they most frequently appear in Instagram collections.
