A fashionable and stylish institution, if you want not just to have dinner, but to “go out in the light”, welcome.
Pronounced Phat Chao. Here you won't meet Chinese package tourists or surfers in stretchy T-shirts, only the “own” public. Officially there is no dress code, but it is more comfortable to be in smart casual style, diamonds and furs are also out of place here.
A very talented Indonesian woman worked on the design of the room, honestly, I was very pleased to see that there are such talents here, because mostly “white people” create all the beauty here.
Everything is thought out to the smallest detail, and the cushions on the Reserved tables are worth it! The music is also trendy, in the style of dip house. The restaurant is small, consists of 3 zones, the main one is non-smoking, tables outside - smoking, and a cozy lounge-zone on the attic - here you can hang out with your company, and if you get cold - there conders work honestly, you will be covered with warm blankets)). The level of the institution is quite high, but at the same time the place is not pathos, you feel relaxed and calm. The site also deserves a separate review.
They also tried to do their best on the menu, Asian cuisine with fusion elements prevails. Serving is cool, the cuisine is delicious! Advice - if you are not hungry, or the price tag is not yours, just come in to drink Chinese chrysanthemum tea, at sunset, there is a great stand with chairs outside, you can sit and watch the night changing day, the view is amazing! Very relaxing. Taxes are not included + 15%.
The restaurant is open every day, sometimes closed for some holidays and special events, a popular place for no-budget local corporate parties, by the way.
What to try?
1. Fat Buntut / oxtail soup - I'll tell you at once expensive, but deserved. Traditional Indonesian soup here is cooked honestly, as the recipe requires. The soup is cooked for 24 hours, on meat, not on bones. It is served with meat, vegetables and a flavorful variety of rice - jasmine.
2. Nasi lemak bentoh - Malay version of nasi champur, coconut rice, served with beef, tofu, tempeh, fried noodles, egg, roasted peanuts, chips, and chili sauce.
3. Hawker pad thai/ Pad thai - Thai-style fried noodles with seafood, crunchy peanuts, and tamarind sauce.
4. Sweet martabak - Malay pancake with a choice of Nutella chocolate paste or cheese.
