A popular Vietnamese restaurant with classic Pho and real Vietnamese coffee
Atmosphere:
Bo&Bun is the first establishment of the successful Eat company chain, which includes the restaurants Principle and Lantern.
A stylish, but simple interior, bright details, beautiful presentation. There are rarely many empty seats here: I recommend booking a table, especially if you are going for dinner. And it is definitely worth getting together!
Cuisine:
The Bo&Bun menu is not very large, and each dish is a hit: almost no position has changed in all 3 years of the restaurant's operation.
In addition to Vietnamese dishes, there are also Thai bestsellers: for example, rich Tom Yam or Thai green curry.
But you need to come here specifically for Vietnamese cuisine.
For appetizers, check out the 'Roll Your Own' Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls (Pork/ Chicken/Tofu/Prawn): "build me yourself" fresh Vietnamese rolls (that's how they eat them in Vietnam), when you are served freshly chopped vegetables, rice paper, sprouts, glass noodles and nut sauce separately.
And, of course, where would we be without Banh mi sandwiches! Choose your filling: lemongrass chicken, pork (the meat is very tender - aged in sous vide for 18 hours) or vegan with tofu. Served with unusual wonton chips.
We recommend trying the salads - you won't find such a mix anywhere else. I especially liked the Bun Bao Xao salad – glass noodle base, fried tofu, marinated jicama and carrots, fresh vegetables, peanuts, fresh spring rolls and Nuoc Cham sauce.
There is a grill: they cook pork ribs, chicken satay and pork in an unusual Asian presentation.
Taxes are 15.5%.
What to try?
1. Bun Bao Xao salad – salad with a glass noodle base, fried tofu, marinated jicama and carrots, fresh vegetables, peanuts, fresh spring rolls and Nuoc Cham sauce.
2. Banh Mi – classic Vietnamese sandwiches on a crispy soft bun with vegetables and various fillings: sous-vide pork, chicken in lemongrass and spices or vegan with tofu. Served with unusual wonton chips.
3. Crunchy Asian Salad - salad with buckwheat noodles, red cabbage, grilled tempeh, cashews and wonton chips.
