All expats in Bali know: the cheapest and fastest way to get to a metropolis with skyscrapers (and do a visa run at the same time) is to buy tickets to the capital of Malaysia.

But Kuala Lumpur now has serious competition. You can now fly to Singapore from Denpasar for just 750,000 rupiah. Just over 2 hours of flight — and you're in one of the most beautiful (and expensive) cities in the world.
Indonesian low-cost airline TransNusa announced the launch of a new direct international route connecting Bali (DPS) and Singapore (SIN). The first flight on the route took place on November 17.
The carrier announced that one-way ticket prices will start from 999,000 Indonesian rupiahs (approximately 64 USD). However, prices are even lower for the nearest dates.
The new flight will operate daily. Departure from Denpasar (DPS) to Singapore (SIN) is scheduled at 07:30 Bali time.
The return flight from Singapore (SIN) to Denpasar (DPS) departs at 10:55 local time.

According to Bayu Sutanto, Managing Director of TransNusa, Bali and Singapore are two key Southeast Asian destinations that complement each other.
"With this route, we hope to support the growth of tourism and provide more flight options for both domestic and international travelers," noted Bayu Sutanto.
Bayu Sutanto emphasized that the new route will not only connect the two cities but also facilitate transfer passengers from other TransNusa destinations, such as Perth and Guangzhou, allowing them convenient connections in Bali.
But for most expats living in Bali, Singapore is unlikely to fully replace the Malaysian capital. Citizens of some countries (including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan) are eligible for a 4-day transit through Singapore if they have a ticket to a third country (it must be different from the departure country, so the Bali-Singapore-Bali route is not suitable for such a visa).
However, if you want to stay in Singapore for an extended period or do not plan to visit another country, you need to obtain a visa👇
