TransNusa has expanded its route network from Ngurah Rai Airport. The first flight to Waingapu in eastern Sumba took place on 15 July, followed on 16 July by the first flight to Matahora Airport on Wangi-Wangi Island in the Wakatobi archipelago, Southeast Sulawesi.

Flights to Waingapu will operate four times a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Flights to Wakatobi are scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. TransNusa operates both routes.
The new Wakatobi flight arrives at Matahora Airport on Wangi-Wangi Island. It should not be confused with flights to Maranggo Airport on Tomia Island, as they are listed as two separate routes.
TransNusa's next new destination from Bali will be Phuket. Direct flights to Thailand will begin on 9 September and operate four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The flight will depart Bali at 08:50 and arrive in Phuket at 11:50. The return flight will depart at 13:50 and arrive at Ngurah Rai Airport at 18:50.
The route will be served by an Airbus A320 seating 174 passengers. Fares start from IDR 2.999 million, and tickets are already on sale. Phuket will become TransNusa's fourth international destination from Bali. The airline currently also operates direct flights to Perth, Singapore and Guangzhou.
Bali Airport serves 22 domestic destinations operated by 11 Indonesian airlines.
