The ferry has a capacity of 406 seats: 60 in the VIP lounge (2-3-2 layout) and 346 in the Executive class (3-3-3 layout). It is equipped with air conditioning, toilets, a small dining area, and life jackets.
Ticket prices for foreigners (including KITAS/KITAP holders) are 275,000 IDR (Executive) and 325,000 IDR (VIP) from Banyuwangi; 10,000 IDR more from Denpasar. Each passenger is allowed up to 20 kg of luggage.
In Banyuwangi, the ferry docks at Boom Marina, close to the Sri Tanjung and Blambangan parks; departure is at 09:00 Java time. In Bali, the route starts and ends at Serangan port, with departure at 14:00 local time. The journey takes about 2.5 hours along the southern coast of the island. Trips run six times a week, with Tuesday reserved for maintenance. The luggage allowance is up to 20 kg per person, and parking at the port costs 5,000 IDR per day.

The Express Bahari operator coordinates with the Denpasar transportation agency, which oversees the Serangan port. Deputy Mayor Arya Wibawa stated that the city is ready to welcome passengers and plans to expand its infrastructure, including additional parking spaces. Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara instructed port staff to provide a high level of service.
The launch of this route will not only simplify travel between Java and Bali but also help relieve the congested Gilimanuk-Denpasar road. If the tests are completed successfully, the operator plans to introduce more trips and, if necessary, add a second ferry.
Tickets can be purchased at the port or through the Express Bahari app.
