A trendy and unique establishment with a colorful concept serving Mexican food and a very tasty Michelada
Among coconut palms and bright yellow umbrellas, you will find an original and very unusual space with vintage mosaics and Mexican flavors.
The founding team of Motel Mexicola - created an analog to the party town of Acapulco in Mexico, a decor and atmosphere that cannot be found anywhere else on the island.
Once inside, you'll find a huge altar (ofrendas) with photos of the deceased, decorated with bright orange flowers that resemble either velvet or saffron. Lit candles, tequila and local cuisine. All in the best traditions of the Mexican holiday, the "day of the dead".
The amount of work that has gone into creating Motel Mexicola is insane. It's like Mexico's Sistine Chapel! Everywhere you look, the amount of thoughtful detail, craftsmanship and use of color in every corner, wall and ceiling is simply impressive!
The Mexicola Motel is divided into 3 sections. If you go to the right, there is a bar and stairs that will take you to the seating and bar upstairs. In the middle is the huge central outdoor patio, and to the left is the main bar and surrounding booths. The Mexicola Motel is huge, but the amount of people who come here every day is even bigger.
If you want to take pictures at Motel Mexicola and appreciate the skill of the designers, it's best to come during the day. At night it turns into a huge bar, and that's the last thing you'll be thinking about when you're dancing the night away.
The menu is full of mouthwatering tostadas, meat pancakes, quesadillas, tacos and salads, and ceviche. Main courses can be shared with a group of friends.
The staff does laps around the sections, pouring tequila shots straight into your mouth.
A different DJ plays every night.
You can even dance on the table and make your wildest vacation dreams come true!
And come back the next day to drink the Mexican hangover cure Michelada - freshly squeezed tomato juice with Mexican chili, lime, and cold beer.
