A local coffee shop with European food and good coffee in Puri Gading
Very nice and hearty cafe, the owners are a charming local couple. Super positive and friendly people. Perfect place to pop in for a cup of coffee in the morning or a delicious pasta at lunchtime.
The menu is very simple and not too big, nevertheless there is plenty to choose from: pasta, salads and different egg options for breakfast. Also there is always an additional “dish of the day” written separately on a blackboard, waffles and pancakes. Cooking is surprisingly very good. Honestly, you do not expect to get such a quality of food at such prices. I can't say that all dishes here are 5 stars, for example, the croissant with ham and cheese was dry and the filling was almost not felt. But the pasta is 10 out of 10, the waffles are also quite decent. Plus beautiful presentation and a very friendly atmosphere. You feel at home.
The interior here is quite simple, but everything is clean and cozy. There is air conditioning inside, but there are no windows, unfortunately. That's why I personally find it more pleasant to sit outside, there is more light and space. In the morning and in the evening it is quite comfortable outside. Wifi is quite fast, so you can safely come with a laptop to work.
The cafe opens early, the prices are below average, the coffee is good, the food is delicious and high quality, the staff is super friendly. What more do you need to be happy?
UPDATE(!) Due to the fact that the cafe has a large number of Russian visitors, the owners have added Russian dishes to the menu. So now you can taste very decent borscht, dumplings and even buckwheat with cutlets or sausages. And there is also simply excellent Napoleon and wonderful Pavlova!
