Indigo, a stylish restaurant with a unique Asian menu, stands in a freestanding and seemingly unapproachable building.
It has a terracotta brick facade, large windows in the manner of shozu (Japanese partitions with wooden slats and rice paper), and wooden slats.
Decorated in Japanese style, it attracts with a cool air-conditioned room during the day and beckons with a beautifully lit hall in the evening.
Two floors of "airy" interior: diffused light, textiles and tableware in pleasant celestial colors. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail, including hand soap from a local manufacturer, which leaves a light trail on the hands. The atmosphere is pleasant, relaxed but keeps you collected and clear. Unobtrusive service.
The menu is quality Japanese fusion.
Dishes are decorated traditionally minimalistically, observing color harmony. The combination of textures pleases the eye: microgreens, flowers, fresh shiny fish.
Dishes are selected individually to each dish.
Each guest enjoys a pleasant welcome drink - a mix of coconut water and greenery frees.
What's on the menu?
Newstyle sashimi - served as carpaccio, the scallop thin slices melt in your mouth.
Signature sushi set: five types of fish served with Dashi fish broth and a lime slice. Worth treating as an appetizer rather than a main course, each sushi is the size of a thumb.
Ebiten maki is a crispy outside and juicy inside tempura ball of shrimp meat, tender avocado in a dense rice roll. Bright herbaceous sauce made of mayonnaise, spinach and asparagus.
Fuji Yama is a dessert variation on the theme of the traditional Citron tartlet. The chef introduced a Japanese touch by using Matcha tea leaf crumble as a picturesque decoration and yuzu instead of lemon for the cream. A meringue in the shape of Mount Fuji completes the look.
Also on the menu is a variation of Rum Baba, only with sake, called Baba Sake.
There are author's ice creams and sorbets (chocolate and coconut), suitable for vegans.
Of the drinks, there's a great selection of non-alcoholic mocktails and signature alcoholic ones like the Sakura with rum, vodka, lychee, fresh ginger and ginger ale.
