Atmosphere:
“Tucked away” on the winding, cozy street of Bisma, Copper Kitchen, Bar & Rooftop is definitely worth a visit.
The restaurant is located on the rooftop of the hotel, but has nothing to do with the usual “hotel” restaurants - a completely self-contained place.
From the rooftop you have a beautiful view of the surrounding rice fields, during the day the open vernada is flooded with sunshine and you can dine in a lovely chill-out area, on sofas with light-colored cushions.
In the evening candles are lit and the restaurant is transformed into an ideal place for a romantic dinner.
The interior is minimalist and attention to details is felt. Natural colors, dark wood and bamboo, forging and brick, light fabrics and expensive textiles, handmade tableware, eclectic lamps and natural stone on the walls.

Cuisine:
Copper Kitchen keeps its focus on quality local produce: vegetables are sourced from its own farm in Tegelallang, fish from “their” fishermen in Jimbaran, coffee blends from Seniman.
Two separate menus - for lunch and dinner, which starts from 6pm.
Steak nights are held every Friday from 6pm (steaks are a rarity in Ubud); Saturday nights are dedicated to fish.
The menu is full of a variety of cuisines and flavors, but there is also an excellent representation of local Indonesian cuisine at its best.
Nasi Goreng and Nasi Champur with brown rice, grilled tofu and coconut oil, fish curry with squid and Bebek Betutu - a flavorful duck in classic Indonesian spices - are excellent choices to start getting to know the local cuisine and not be disappointed.
A great option to try everything at once is Bisma Eight Gardens Balinese Plate, which combines classic Indonesian sambal (spicy sauce), tofu baked in banana leaf, tempeh kebabs, crumbly red rice and vegetable side dishes in one plate.
For lunch, I suggest getting the Bisma bowls, a signature dish along the lines of buddha bowls - all the flavors in one plate: red rice, edamame, vegetables, mushrooms and chicken/tuna tataki/meat or tofu with tempeh for a vegan option to choose from.
Fresh salads and appetizers: there are light rolls in the thinnest rice paper and vegetable straws, or a juicy salad with feta and watermelon - perfect for dieting!
Creamy, melt-in-your-mouth risotto - there's a vegan version with mushrooms. And it's incredible - you eat it and don't want this plate of creamy happiness to ever end.
There are thin-crust pizzas, author's fish tacos and burgers.
The dessert list is extensive, too: try the black rice pudding with caramelized banana and chocolate and coconut cream sauce (bomb!) and the cheesecake with yogurt sorbet.
Drinks:
Copper Kitchen, Bar & Rooftop is not only a restaurant, but also a bar with a signature menu, quality spirits and wine list.
Here you can take Cocktail class and learn to make author's mixes under the guidance of a sensitive bartender.
Big choice of healthy juices, for example, smoothie with peanut paste or vitamin juice with beet.
Coffee from Seniman - here they use a special blend for hotels, mild espresso.
Taxes are 21%.
What to try?
1. Wild mushroom risotto with shiitake mushrooms and white truffle - a plate of bliss for the vegetarian!
2. Bisma Eight Gardens Balinese Plate - a mini-journey through Indonesian cuisine: spiced tofu, red rice, tempeh kebabs, vegetables and sauces
3. Fresh Lumpia rolls - fresh Vietnamese rolls with nut sauce, a great appetizer
4. Blue swimmer club parpadelle - pasta with crab, chili and basil
5. Black rice pudding - classic Indonesian dessert in author's version - and extremely successful!
