Authorities Order Cable Reorganization in Singaraja

In Singaraja (Buleleng Regency), authorities announced the start of efforts to address the disorder of overhead cables hanging in 'bunches' over the streets. The issue is not only about the city's appearance: cables and tilting poles are seen as safety hazards, especially during the rainy season and in extreme weather.

The key requirement from authorities is that each provider must bring their lines and poles up to standard and promptly address dangerous areas. The administration emphasizes that all providers must have complete sets of permits.
A step-by-step inventory and 'deconstruction' of networks by zone will follow, providing the city with a clear list of responsible contacts in case of outages, pole collapses, and other incidents. This also addresses poles that are tilting, unused, or abandoned.
In Denpasar, from 2025, the Sarana Jaringan Utilitas Terpadu project will unfold – these are underground channels/boxes where providers are shifted from overhead lines. The first phase commenced in Sanur and the city center. The goal is to remove cables that 'spoil the frame' and hinder the aesthetics of tourist areas.
