The Bali authorities are preparing traffic arrangements for New Year's Eve in South Badung, including Kuta and Legian. Due to closures and detours, the traffic police recommend using parking facilities near the celebration zones to avoid leaving vehicles on streets with restrictions.

In Kuta, road closures and detours are planned for December 31st from approximately 2:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The scheme will be adjusted 'according to the situation,' depending on actual traffic. It's better to arrive before the restrictions begin and choose one of the recommended parking lots, moving on foot thereafter.
Changes in Kuta–Legian Traffic

According to published plans, closures and detours affect several key areas:
- Simpang Patih Jelantik–Legian (Si Doi): traffic towards Ground Zero is closed, directing vehicles to Jl. Legian Kaja, then to Jl. Raya Seminyak.
- Simpang Legian–Patimura: traffic from Jl. Bene Sari is redirected north to Jl. Patimura.
- Simpang Mataram–Patimura: traffic towards Jl. Legian is closed, with detours via Jl. Majapahit and Jl. Mataram.
- Simpang Raya Kuta–Setiabudi: traffic towards Kuta is closed, directing vehicles to Jl. Setiabudi.

- Simpang Raya Kuta–Singosari: access to the beach is closed, with detours to the north.
