The International Taekwondo Championship KASAL Cup II 2025 is taking place from February 14 to 16, 2025, at the GOR Purna Krida Sports Complex in Badung, Bali. Organized by the Indonesian Navy, this event follows the KASAL Cup I 2023, which was initially a national-level competition but has now gained international status.
Athletes from the armed forces of Russia, Australia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, the USA, Vietnam, Iran, Korea, and China are participating in this prestigious event.
Bali was chosen as the host location because of its proximity to the Multilateral Navy Exercise Komodo (MNEK), a major naval event involving representatives from 39 countries. Moreover, the KASAL Cup II 2025 is officially part of MNEK, further reinforcing its significance on the international stage.
In addition to the competition itself, the championship will feature a Taekwondo dance team performance and demonstrations by South Korean martial arts masters, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
Tournament Goals and Prizes
The championship aims to support Indonesia’s national sports programs and the Indonesian Navy’s leadership initiatives, while also motivating Indonesian athletes to excel on the international stage ahead of the SEA Games 2025.
The tournament’s theme, “Partnership for Peace and Stability,” aligns with the overall mission of MNEK. Winners will be awarded trophies, medals, and cash prizes.
