Dreaming of living in the USA? This fall, applications for the Green Card Lottery DV-2027 will begin. It's a real chance to legally move to America, gain permanent resident status, and discover new opportunities.
What is a Green Card?
A Green Card is a document that confirms the status of a permanent resident in the USA. The cardholder has almost the same rights as a citizen (except for voting).
Opportunities a Green Card Offers:
- the right to live and work in the USA without restrictions;
- the possibility to apply for citizenship after 5 years;
- the card is valid for 10 years with a renewal option.
Who can participate in the lottery?
The program is open to almost everyone:
- age 18 and over;
- knowledge of the English language is not mandatory;
- any education;
- a foreign passport is not required at the time of application.
⚡ Important: a new rule this year — participation costs $1 (payment is possible, but not with Russian cards).
How the selection process works
All applications are reviewed automatically, and winners are chosen randomly by a program. This means all participants have equal chances. However, a wrongly filled form can lead to disqualification.
