The 2026/2027 cruise season in Bali was opened by the expedition ship Heritage Adventurer.
It called at Benoa Port for one day on its way from Komodo Island to Sumbawa.
The Portuguese-flagged ship moored on Wednesday, 7 October, at around half past six in the morning. On board were 90 passengers and 84 crew members. Heritage Adventurer is 126 metres long. Its departure for Badas port on Sumbawa was scheduled for 18:00 the same day.
Benoa's 500-metre cruise ship pier can accommodate two large ships at once. The port handles ships both for port calls and for passenger changeovers when a cruise begins or ends in Bali.
Large cruise ships are also expected in Benoa before the end of the year. Costa Serena is scheduled to call at the end of October. She is sailing a round-the-world route from Tokyo to Buenos Aires and is due to stay overnight in Bali. On the ninth of December, a Celebrity Millennium cruise to Singapore via Malaysia and Thailand is scheduled to begin here.
The port is being redeveloped as a marine tourism hub. In 2025, cruise ships called here 65 times.
