From April 6 to 13, a total of seven massive cruise ships docked at Benoa Port — including the MV Viking Orion, MS Paul Gauguin, MV Norwegian Sun, Seven Seas Mariner, and others. One of these ships, the MV Seven Seas Voyager, first visited Buleleng, where 541 passengers disembarked.
The general manager of Benoa Port, Agung Mataram, called this a historic event for the port. He added that such a surge in cruise arrivals is a major achievement, but also a serious challenge, as it coincided with the return of local residents after long holiday celebrations.
The promotion of Bali as a maritime hub continues, clearly visible in the strong tourist flow entering the island through the port. For example, on April 6 alone, around 7,000 passengers passed through Benoa. To maintain order, the port has increased security — adding another X-ray scanner and setting up a police operations post inside the domestic terminal area.
As previously reported, Benoa has already hosted three large passenger ships simultaneously.
