The second giant cruise liner in two weeks has docked in Bali. The ‘Genting Dream’ under the flag of the Bahamas is impressive in scale: its length is 330 meters, and its displacement is 75,000 tons.

It's not just transportation; Genting Dream is a floating resort with numerous pools, exquisite restaurants, and cinemas.
The liner brought 4,115 passengers and 1,796 crew members to the paradise island. This call was part of a special 5-day cruise. It started in Singapore and included two ports in Bali: southern (Benoa) and northern (Celukan Bawang). Such a variety of routes is aimed at evenly distributing tourist flows across the island.

The main contingent of Genting Dream passengers are residents of Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia) for whom the cruise is a popular and affordable vacation.
Besides Bali, the liner regularly makes short cruises to Malaysia (Penang, Malacca) and Thailand (Phuket).
The cost of a 5-day cruise from Singapore to Bali starts at $450 per person (based on double occupancy). A single cabin without a window will cost $600.
A week ago, another liner arrived in Benoa – Discovery Princess (330 meters) with 3,538 passengers and 1,350 crew members.

The General Manager of Benoa Port, Agung Mataram, emphasized the strategic importance of the events:
“With the arrival of Discovery Princess and Genting Dream, we have strengthened Benoa's position as a major international destination. The increase in ship calls and passengers reflects the recovery of global operators' confidence in Bali and its appeal.”
During Genting Dream's stay, all arriving passengers actively participated in excursions around the island, boosting demand for tour guides, local transportation, souvenir shops, and restaurants.

From the beginning of 2025 to November 25, Benoa Port has serviced 55 cruise calls, and in the first week of December alone, five more liners are expected to bring over 10,000 guests from around the world to the island.
Experts say that Bali has firmly established itself as a key maritime tourist hub in Asia.
