Dear readers! Please remember that the accommodation prices when booking depend on seasonal fluctuations, one-time discounts, promotions, hot deals, your personal discounts in booking systems, and many other factors. The prices in the article are indicated for the autumn of 2019.
If you plan to look for accommodation in a guesthouse for an extended period, it makes sense to book a room for a couple of days, live there, experience all the pros and cons, and ask the guesthouse owner for a discount for long-term stay. If you speak directly with the guesthouse owner, there is a chance to get a discount in the range of 10-40% off the amount calculated by simply multiplying the cost of daily stay by 30.
If you have received any new information about the guesthouses mentioned in this article or any other good offers, please share your discoveries.
++ There is a pool. Cozy room. Comfortable bed. The air conditioner works well. Nearby, there are boat crossings to Nusa Penida via the bridge.
--- Very slow wifi. No hot water. The water in the shower is salty (less salty than in the sea). Noisy, constantly hearing passing motorbikes. The water in the pool is dirty.

++ Beautiful view. Cozy room. Clean bedding. Panoramic windows. Pleasant people. Close to cafes, restaurants, and the water. Quiet, no noise from mopeds. Tasty pancakes for breakfast. Wifi works well but not very stable.
---- Towels are fresh but have stains. The shower needs a more thorough cleaning. It would be highly desirable to have a kettle and access to water from a cooler. The water from the shower is salty, but this is common in all guesthouses on the island.
++ Excellent location and breakfast. Nearby shops and cafes. The hotel owner cooks wonderfully. The whole family greets guests wonderfully. The staff is just great. The entrance to the water is right in front of the house. They take you by motorcycle to other beaches and pick you up.
--- Salty water in the shower, but this is the specificity of the island.
