The high season has started in Bali, and the Ngurah Rai International Airport is welcoming guests with the Summer Beach event, running from June 25 to July 31, 2025. The arrival and departure areas now feature vibrant photo spots: a giant suitcase, palm trees, surfboards, beach umbrellas, and waves. Among the decor are characters from the Happiness Club, beloved by Indonesian children.

The airport's General Manager Ahmad Shaugi Shahab explained that the event is timed to coincide with the school holidays and aims to make travel not only comfortable and safe but also memorable. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by a dance parade and the interactive game “Electric Maze,” held on July 11. The airport partners with Balinese artisans and creative groups to host exhibitions and performances, thereby supporting the local economy.
In the first six months of 2025, Ngurah Rai handled nearly 3 million passengers—10% more than the same period in 2024. The most popular international destinations are Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Melbourne; domestically, they are Jakarta, Surabaya, and Labuan Bajo. Most foreign tourists still come from Australia.
During the high season, authorities recommend heading to the airport early: traffic congestion en route during peak hours remains unavoidable.
