Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali climbed to 72nd place in the world ranking, up two positions from the previous year. Additionally, it ranked 6th among the best regional airports in Asia.
“The rise in ranking is recognition of Bali as one of the main tourist destinations. We aim to maintain a high level of service,” commented airport director Ahmad Syaugi Shahab.
In the first quarter of 2025, over 5.2 million passengers passed through Bali Airport. The leaders in arrivals were Australia, China, and India. And this isn't even the peak season.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta improved its ranking from 28th to 25th place. Among airports with passenger traffic of 50-60 million, it ranked third in the world. It was also named among the top 10 best airports in Asia and a leader in immigration control quality.
This success was made possible through large-scale modernization: digitalization, infrastructure improvement, and a focus on passenger comfort. Jakarta aims to be among the top ten best airports in the world by 2029.
