Gunung Kawi Temple is located not far from the village of Tampaksiring, about 5 km from the famous Tirta Empul Temple.
The entire complex consists of 5 small shrines located on both sides of the river. There are two complexes on the eastern slope and three complexes on the western slope of the ravine. On one side of the river are the king's tombs, and on the opposite bank are those of the queen and his concubines.
The entrance fee for the temple is 15,000 rupiahs for adults and 7,500 rupiahs for children. You can reach the temple by tourist bus as part of an excursion or by renting your own transport.
