A real mini-village in a quiet Tabanan: a restaurant, a gallery, a villa complex and a future coworking space
Atmosphere:
Joshua district is a unique complex in a non-tourist area of Bali, Tabanan. Situated just 800 meters from the beach (the closest is Pingstone beach), the complex may soon become a new center of attraction.
The most stylish and functional, but at the same time cozy interior, creative details, unusual lamps and furniture, walls hand-painted by artists - it is worth stopping by just for a tour.
Fun fact - the complex is built from shipping containers.
At the moment, Joshua District has a small gallery with contemporary art, a clothing store, a coffee shop, a restaurant and a complex of 5 beautiful villas (most of them with their own pools, the cost per night starts from $ 105).
In the nearest future – opening of own bakery, coworking, space for yoga and workshops and regular parties.
When creating Joshua District, the owners (originally from the Czech Republic) wanted to create a place of attraction for the creative community – and I think they will succeed.
Cuisine:
The restaurant starts with the view. And it is amazing here – over endless rice fields and the ocean in the distance.
The cuisine deserves special attention. Breakfast is served from 8 to 11 – there are both classic dishes with eggs and unusual ones like lentils with salmon gravlax
There is a soup, it changes every day. Be sure to try Tuna Sashimi – thin slices of fresh tuna with homemade mayonnaise, wasabi and salad.
For those who are hungry, we recommend taking Beef burger – a juicy burger with beef patty, served with homemade potato chips and ali-oli sauce.
Vegetarians will be pleased with the tomato tartare salad with mozzarella, basil cream and pesto, incredibly soft and aromatic baked peppers with nuts and goat cheese and rolls with homemade hummus and baked eggplant, zucchini and arugula.
For dessert - chocolate mousse with avocado, banana and coffee.
Drinks:
For a hot day, the menu has a large selection of homemade lemonades, we tried the ginger one - delicious and sweet)
Excellent green juice.
Strong and non-acidic coffee - the beans are taken from ICON coffee.
Alcoholic drinks include beer and Plaga wine, but for parties they organize a full-fledged bar.
What to try?
