Green School Bali opened in September 2008 with a custom-built school situated amidst forests and rice fields. Since 2008, Green School has grown and now has over 500 day students and 400 local students. Green School was founded by John and Cynthia Hardy, parents who wanted to find a unique and different school for their children after they left their jewelry business in Bali.
Green School Bali teaches students the principles of sustainability and has four learning programs - early childhood education (PAUD), elementary school (SD), junior high school (SMP), and senior high school (SMA).

Early Years
The program for young children offers a three-year curriculum. Learning occurs through play.
Elementary School
The ability to develop friendships and individuality in children is nurtured in the five groups of elementary school.
The play program awakens children's natural curiosity and joy of learning through singing, dancing, art, storytelling, cultural celebrations, and yoga.
