A very informative museum. Many interactive devices, especially interesting for children! Large models, screens with video sequences, samples of lava, meteorites, dried plants, and animal specimens. Very informative for those interested in geology.
Excellent free UNESCO museum. Lots of interesting information about volcanoes, Batur, its calderas, and history overall.
Near the museum entrance, locals attempt to charge an unofficial fee of 50,000 rupiah. You don’t have to pay. You can bypass them. Entry to the museum is free.
