Local residents will act as your guides, show you the forest routes they've known since childhood, share their traditions and invite you to go fishing. It's a chance to see Papua not only through a traveller's eyes, but also through the stories of people for whom these forests are home.
There won't be large tour groups, noisy excursions or the usual resort comforts here. Instead, there will be early mornings, humid jungle air, unexpected encounters with wildlife and the feeling that you've reached one of the last corners of Indonesia where travel still feels like genuine discovery.
