First, a man entered the pharmacy. He asked about medicines and tried to communicate with the staff in English. Later, a woman came in and asked to use the toilet. When she was taken further inside the premises, she started talking to an employee and, according to the staff, turned the CCTV camera.
Meanwhile, the man approached the till. He asked to use the computer to make a transfer, then took money from the drawer. The missing money was only noticed shortly before the pharmacy closed. According to the owner, 700,000 rupiah disappeared from the till.
The suspects’ faces can be seen in the CCTV footage, so the pharmacy owner handed the materials over to the police and warned nearby shops to be more careful. The suspects are still being searched for.
