On the evening of 9 May, Badung police carried out a road check at the Tiying-Tutul intersection in the Mengwi area. The operation ran from 17:00 to 20:30.

In total, 28 drivers were issued tickets: 18 foreigners and 10 Indonesian citizens. Another 58 people received written warnings — 30 foreigners and 28 Indonesians.
The offences related to driving licences, vehicle documents, number plates and exhausts. Police also seized 22 motorbikes, five vehicle documents and two driving licences.
Police said these checks are carried out to tackle traffic offences, vehicle theft, street crime and drug trafficking.
