The Head of the Bali Agency for Communications, Information, and Statistics, Gede Pranama, announced that the Turyapada Tower will be closed to visitors starting in May 2025 due to the continuation of the second phase of construction. Once the construction is completed, the attraction will reopen to tourists.

As part of the Turyapada project, a planetarium is planned to be built. Currently, the auction process and document submission for the construction of Bali’s only facility of this kind are still ongoing.
Previously, the Bali government had allowed limited visits to Turyapada—no more than 60 people per day with prior registration on the official website. According to Acting Governor of Bali, Made Mahendra Jaya, the tower is still in a partial opening phase.
Additionally, minor improvements to the main building are still planned. After completing the first phase of construction, the Bali provincial government will proceed with the second phase, which is expected to begin in May this year.
