Starting July 1, 2026, ticket prices for Pura Ulun Danu Beratan at Beratan Lake will increase.

A unified price will be introduced for Indonesians and KITAS holders: 50,000 rupiah for adults (instead of 40,000 on weekdays and 50,000 on weekends) and 25,000 rupiah for children (previously 20,000). For foreigners, adult tickets will rise from 75,000 to 100,000 rupiah, and children's from 50,000 to 75,000.
Temple caretaker I Made Sukarata says the money will go towards services to ensure Ulun Danu Beratan remains a 'comfortable, clean, and safe place with high service standards.' However, the main addition in 2026 will be a cultural program: twice a month, traditional Barong and Kecak dances will be showcased here.
The temple already attracts a significant number of visitors. From January to November 2025, it was visited by 467,895 people. The record month is July, with 51,107 visitors. May and January also saw over 50,000 visitors. Even the quietest month, March, drew in 22,588 tourists — impressive numbers for a single site.
But the temple is not the only attraction. Ulun Danu Beratan is located in Bedugul — a highland area where another Bali exists: cool all year round, free from the stifling southern heat, surrounded by forests and minimal commercial development. Many hotels are owned by locals. More tourists are deciding to stay here for several days rather than just a day trip — and it’s easy to see why.
Besides the temple, there are other activities in Bedugul: the Blooms Garden, the Bali Botanical Garden with its vast collection of plants, the famous 'Handara Gates' perfect for photos, and the new Turyapada observation tower with panoramic views of the area. A trip with MyBaliTrips already feels like an adventure on its own.
The temple administration has already informed PHRI (the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association) and travel agencies so they can adjust their programs by July 2026. Until then, there are still savings to be made here. Afterwards, visitors will pay slightly more but gain a greater experience.
