A stay at the Swiss-Belresort Pecatu hotel in Bukit was disrupted by a series of incidents involving a Russian national identified by the initials M.S. According to reports, the guest caused disturbances over a two-week period, affecting both staff and other visitors. The situation later escalated and involved the use of a bladed weapon.

Badung police (Satpol PP), together with the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, urgently isolated the unruly guest.
According to hotel management, the foreign national checked in on 9 May and paid for his stay through 23 May. Shortly after his arrival, staff began noticing unusual behaviour. They reported that the guest frequently wandered around the property, appeared disoriented, spoke to himself and at times raised his voice unexpectedly, causing concern among employees and other guests.
The situation worsened on 18 May, when the guest took an ice cream and a soft drink from the hotel bar without making a payment. Hotel staff intervened and spoke with the guest, after which the items were paid for. However, according to management, concerns about his behaviour persisted in the days that followed.
The incidents culminated towards the end of the guest’s stay. According to hotel management, the man stood on the balcony of his room holding a knife and directed it toward the pool area, where other guests were present. Staff also reported that he threw several objects, including chess pieces and empty snack packaging, into the area below. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The management of Swiss-Belresort Pecatu finally ran out of patience and called in a special unit of the municipal police, Satpol PP. Officer Made Astika Jaya confirmed that an initial examination found the foreign national had a severe dependence on specific prescription drugs, which had triggered an acute psychosis.
The disturbance-maker is currently receiving compulsory treatment in hospital. As soon as doctors detox his system and issue a certificate confirming that he is fit to fly, the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office will deport him.
