In Bali, another social media figure has ended up in an immigration report. A video has gone viral showing a 31-year-old Belgian tourist, Sven Dozone, speeding on a motorbike and jumping off the well-known 20-metre cliff near Balangan Beach into the ocean.

Apparently, the Belgian had heard about the problems faced by the previous stuntman, who drowned a bike and was deported. So he tied his bike with a rope so it wouldn’t end up in the water. Even that precaution, however, did not save the tourist.
The jump itself did not anger the authorities; the problem was the foreigner’s dodgy behaviour. The rented bike avoided a dip in the ocean, but suffered serious damage, which the offender decided not to pay for. Instead, he tried to leave Bali, but was taken off his flight by immigration officers. After an investigation, Sven was still forced to pay compensation. In addition, he was deported from Indonesia and placed on a blacklist banning him from re-entering the country.
Judging by his Instagram, Sven enjoys entertaining himself with parkour and all kinds of jumps. The official grounds for deportation were damage to someone else’s property, refusal to pay compensation, and an attempt to leave the country before the matter was settled.
The authorities stressed that there can be no compromises in cases like this. Foreigners must comply with local laws, and attempts to avoid responsibility will be treated as a serious offence.
The incident also sparked debate online. Some users saw what happened as spectacular extreme sport, while others viewed it as dangerous and disrespectful behaviour, especially given how popular such locations are with tourists.
