The immigration office in Singaraja has deported a 46-year-old Czech woman from Bali who was selling a villa in Karangasem, in the east of the island, while on a visa on arrival.

Officers found an advertisement on Facebook, as well as a notice with her phone number on the house itself. This type of visa allows holders to holiday, visit relatives, and attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions. Selling goods or services and receiving payment for work on it is prohibited.
The woman, identified by the initials NKH, was put on a flight to Prague with a connection in Doha. The office has recommended banning her from entering Indonesia: under the immigration law, such a ban can be imposed for up to ten years and may be extended.

In early October, an American was deported from Bali who had also been promoting villas.
Legal Indonesia can advise on which visa is right for working or doing business in Indonesia and how to obtain the necessary permits.
