On July 20, 2025, the Kayon Run will take place in Ubud. Participants will have to cover 10 kilometers along a picturesque route through the jungles and hills of Gianyar. The start is scheduled for 6:30 AM at The Kayon Jungle Resort in the village of Bresela.
Kayon Run is not just a sports event. The organizers emphasize that the run is designed as an opportunity for runners to blend harmoniously with nature, experience the beauty of tropical forests, and run past waterfalls and rice terraces. Participants are encouraged to pay attention to their gear—shoes with good traction and hydration systems will facilitate a comfortable trail running experience.
The prize fund of the run will amount to up to 5 million rupiahs. Winners will receive cash prizes and medals. In addition, gifts are provided for all participants: the starter pack includes a branded t-shirt, a number, and a small souvenir set.
Registration is already open on the Lawana Events platform and will run until June 8. The number of spots is limited, so organizers advise hurrying up.
The Kayon Run 2025 will be a great warm-up before the major sporting event—the Maybank Marathon, which will take place in Gianyar from August 22–24. This marathon holds the World Athletics Elite Label Road Race status and traditionally gathers the best runners from all over the world. Participants can choose distances of 10 km, half marathon, and marathon.
