Registration for Bali’s Main Marathon has Begun

Maybank Indonesia has officially confirmed the Maybank Bali Marathon for 2025. This prestigious event is the only marathon in Indonesia to hold the elite label from World Athletics, the international governing body for track and field. World Athletics sets regulations, certifies marathons, and maintains global athlete rankings, making this race a significant event in the sports world.

If you’re a running enthusiast, this is your chance to register and participate. The prizes for winners are substantial, but African runners have long dominated the podium at the Maybank Bali Marathon. Perhaps you could be the one to challenge them.

The main and most widely participated race is the Run for Charity, where all proceeds from participant's fees will be donated to five different charities.

This means that by joining the marathon, you’re not only achieving a personal milestone but also contributing to those in need in Indonesia.

The marathon will take place on August 24, 2025, starting from Bali United Training Center, Purnama Beach, Gianyar. As in previous years, the race will feature three categories:

– Full Marathon - 42.195 km

– Half Marathon -  21.2 km

– 10 km - Race for Kids

Participants will be able to collect their race kits at Bali United Training Center on August 22 and 23, two days before the event.

According to Steffano Ridwan, President of Maybank Indonesia, the Maybank Marathon is not just about sports; it’s also about promoting a healthy lifestyle, supporting local communities, and raising Indonesian families profile on the global stage.

This year, organizers expect a record-breaking 4,000 participants.

Before the main races, six preparatory events will be held in different cities across Indonesia, including Semarang, Surabaya, Bandung, Makassar, Denpasar, and Jakarta. These will take place from May to August 2025, featuring morning runs, training sessions, and general fitness courses. More details will be announced separately.
