Infrastructure Upgrades Planned in Nusa Dua Resort Area

The state-owned resort developer ITDC announced the start of renovations for The Nusa Dua in Bali. The first phase will take about 210 working days and will kick off the work plan for 2026–2028. ITDC describes this as the largest transformation since the area began development in 1973.

The main focus is on basic infrastructure. ITDC intends to resurface roads that, according to the company, have not been properly maintained for a long time. Plans also include updating pedestrian pathways and lighting. Work will start with Peninsula Park.
Simultaneously, there are promises to improve public spaces over an area of about 350 hectares: gardens, walking areas, and landscaping elements. The zone also plans to install new statues with Balinese motifs.
ITDC states its intention to improve the waste management system in Nusa Dua: separate collection, sorting, and recycling. For this, a dedicated facility of up to 5,000 m² is mentioned.
The works will also affect the Water Blow viewpoint: the company plans to refurbish the area, improve access and part of the infrastructure. They aim to strengthen the wedding tourism sector by creating a more visible entrance and updating ceremony venues.
The Nusa Dua is an integrated resort area featuring approximately 5,500 rooms across 22 five-star hotels and premium villas. It boasts the best swimming beaches, parks, and pedestrian pathways.
