After a two-year break, Oceanman — an international open-water swim — is returning to Bali. The event will take place on 19–21 June 2026 at Kedonganan Beach, near Jimbaran. Organisers say around 900 swimmers from 27 countries are expected.
The programme runs for three days. On 19 June there will be registration, an expo, practice swims and open-water safety sessions. The main races are scheduled for 20 and 21 June.
There are six distances: 10 km, 5 km, 2 km, a 500 m kids’ swim, a 3×500 m team relay, and 2 km Oceanfins. The start and finish for all distances will be at Kedonganan Beach.
Swimmers from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, India, Japan, the USA, the UK, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other countries have registered. Around 700 people took part in Oceanman Bali in 2023; in 2026 the organisers expect roughly a third more.
Safety is a separate part of the programme: before the main races, participants will receive a briefing and will be able to take part in practice swims. In the open ocean, it’s not only the distance and fitness that matter, but also waves and currents, visibility, and the work of the rescue teams.
